Bélo
Bélo received in 2006 the French "RFI" award. Since then, this self-taught performer is a symbol of the Haitian music renewal movement. His style is a blend of different kinds of Caribbean musics, with a certain tad of reggae. His self-penned songs reveal that Bélo is also a song writer.

Recorded in Andy Barrow's studio in Miami, Belo's second album was made with some of the most famous Caribbean (such as Fabrice Rouzier, the promoter of the "Haïti Twoubadou" project) and African (Richard Bona) musicians. "Reference" paints Haitian daily life with a touch of Jazz.
