Didier François & Gilles Chabenat - Didier François invite Gabriel Yacoub

Didier François, born in Brussels in 1969, studied violin at the Brussels conservatory and musical composition in the Anvers Conservatory. He  has composed many pieces for choreographers, theater, and cinema. Today, he is professor of the hurdy-gurdy at the Stockholm conservatory.

In 1992, Gilles Chabenat joined the Corsican band "I Muvrini" for an adventure of twelve years. During these years, he has met Veronique Sanson, Florent Pagny, Stephan Eicher, Jean-Jacques Goldman, Sting, Frederic Paris, Edouard Papazian, Alain Bonnin, Gabriel Yacoub... He also works sometimes with jazz musicians.

Gabriel Yacoub founded the Malicorne band in 1973, which used the traditional airs and songs in an original, personal and contemporary way. After the dissolution of the band in 1978, he started a solo career. His texts, written in a significant and refined poetry, evoke the time which passes, the love and nostalgia, the difficult communication between beings in a constant search of sense and spirituality.
