Pêcheurs de perles ("Pearls Fishermen" in French) is a band made of four European musicians led by an Iraki composer, oud player and singer, Mohamed Alhuma, who created the band. Together, they play Sufi music, recalling the days when musicians were bound to help pearl divers in the Persian Gulf by giving rhythm to their job. Pearl diving has now stopped but music has survived.
